The provider will handle comprehensive pediatric surgery call coverage, including trauma cases, advanced laparoscopic procedures, and specialized interventions. The schedule requires 7 to 14 shifts per month, featuring Monday through Friday clinic and call duties alongside 24-hour weekend coverage. Practice Info EMR System: Epic Setting: Inpatient Staffing mix: 900 bed hospital Responsibilities Provide pediatric surgery call coverage, including general surgery and laparoscopic procedures Manage trauma cases Perform laparoscopic procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication Execute vascular surgery, specifically abdominal aneurysm repair Address pediatric conditions including atresias (esophageal, intestinal, biliary) Correct abdominal wall defects like gastroschisis and umbilical defects such as hernia and omphalocele Repair diaphragmatic hernia and imperforate anus Perform PDA ligation Compensation Strong compensation Benefits Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Shift & Schedule 182-day assignment Monday through Friday clinic and call Out of house call, including 24-hour weekend call Requirement of 7-14 shifts per month, including a minimum of 7 consecutive shifts 3-5 surgeries in the morning and 6 clinic patients per day Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS)
