Job Title: Wound Care Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, WOCN Must-Have: Must have previous charge experience. Experience with patient ratio management. Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic. Description: The position requires the nurse to provide specialized care in wound management. The nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care for patients with various wound types. Responsibilities include infection control, patient education, and the use of advanced wound care techniques. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The nurse should be knowledgeable in wound assessment and management, including pressure ulcers and ostomy care. Skills required include the use of specialized dressings, debridement techniques, and the application of negative pressure wound therapy. The role requires effective communication with patients and their families regarding care plans. Candidates must have experience with patients of all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work holidays is required.
